Does Sunywood have a warranty?
Yes. The warranty is given to the original consumer of Sunywood decking materials, railing systems, (excluding metal baluster components of such rail systems, which are covered under a separate 10-year warranty). Sunywood warrants to Purchaser that, for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of the original consumer purchase, under normal use and service conditions。 Click here to visit the warranty page.

Will Sunywood decking and railing fade in color?
Yes, most materials exposed to UV and weathering will fade. Sunywood decking and railing solutions are blended with high quality raw material and UV-inhibiting pigments to keep products consistent in color. Because of the quality of material used, most Sunywood decking and railing products fade less, in the same condition, than other composites.

Can Sunywood products be used as a porch?
Yes, many porches are built with Sunywood products. However, if using Plank, special ventilation requirements must be met. There must be a minimum of 12" unobstructed continuous airspace along three sides of the deck to allow cross ventilation for Plank. This should be located just below the bottom of the deck joist. Refer to the Sunywood Installation & Maintenance Guide.

Can I use Sunywood for the surface of a boat dock?
Yes, Sunywood Plank is ideal for dock, marina and boardwalk applications.

Can Sunywood's Planks be made into a watertight surface?
No, Sunywood is made with weep holes every 9" on the tongue. These weep holes allow water to drain off of the deck. Correct installation of the product with hand pressure gives you a gap of up to 1/4" between planks. This gap allows the product to expand and contract with temperature changes. If this gap is made watertight by a caulk product, the product will not have the ability to expand and contract in the gap.

What type of screw is provided?
Hidden Deck Fasteners have a dark brown coating. This coating helps the fastener hide in the shadow of the joists, and makes the fastener virtually invisible.

Will Sunywood products weather (change color/fade)? My Sunywood has changed color, why?
Because Sunywood contains natural wood fiber, slight fading will occur with exposure to sunlight and moisture. This process is completely harmless to Sunywood decking and does not affect its durability. The "after weathering" color of the boards on a Sunywood deck may be different from the colors shown in the Sunywood Color Palette guide. There may also be color variation between boards. This is normal and gives each Sunywood deck a distinctive look and character.
The weathering process may be accelerated in dry areas by periodically wetting down the deck using a garden hose.

Can Sunywood products be painted or stained?
Yes, you can paint or stain Sunywood to achieve a custom color, but it is not necessary for protection.

How do I clean or remove grease stains?
1. Wipe up and rinse off.
2.First attempt cleaning with household detergents - such as hot soap water.

Can Sunywood help to design my deck?
There is a program on the Sunywood Web site called Design a Deck. This program will allow you to select your deck shape and size, add stairs and railings and a second level. After you submit your custom design, your Deck gives you how-to checklist, tips for success and a material list.

Does Sunywood decking come in any colors?
Yes, Sunywood’s Ornamental Rail is available in natural, Cedar, Grey, Redwood and coffee. Sunywood Rail comes in a Coastal White and Classic Black. And Sunywood Builder Rail comes in Cedar, Grey and Redwood with black metal balusters

Yes. Complete, easy-to-follow instructions come with your purchase. Installation is easiest with two people. You are likely to have the tools and materials you need, or they are easy to find at your local hardware store.
